1989 Pro Set Football

Description: These pages will exist as a knowledge base for collectors to use while completing their Master Sets. All known inserts, errors, variations, promos, prototypes and specially produced binders/sets will be discussed. As I slowly add pages, lists will be included for reference. This will be a work in progress!
The lists will include all cards manufactured by Pro Set from their inception to the end of the 1990 Pro Bowl. On these lists, I will try to explain which errors and variations are more difficult to obtain. No prices will be discussed (and please don't ask). As with everything Pro Set, a price today can dramatically change overnight (see 1992 Pro Set Ground Force card prices!).
Why Bother?
I initially started this series with only one year in mind, 1990 Pro Set. But, while researching those cards, I discovered that other years were also a veritable treasure trove of errors and variations. I believe it would be a disservice to collectors if I did not add them to the Master Set Series.

Since I started this blog during the holiday season, I thought it would be appropriate to include a picture of the 1989 Pro Set Santa Claus Dealer Promo. Notice he is holding his own card! Also, the CEO of Pro Set, Ludwell Denny, is standing next to the NFL Commissioner, Paul Tagliabue, "peering through" the window (1990 Pro Set Football reference *wink*).
